Sky Harbor Care Center is the Hi-Desert’s premier skilled nursing facility specializing in long term care and rehabilitation. Sky Harbor is a 99 bed facility with nurses on staff 24 hours, on-site therapies, podiatry and dental. Sky Harbor Care Center is suited for seniors who can no longer live independently and who require medical professionals and supplies for a severe illness or injury. Social and recreational activities are planned by the Activities Director and menus are prepared by a licensed Dietician.

Our goal is to create an environment where residents and therapist have an opportunity to move to the highest level of wellness and satisfaction with daily accomplishments.

We work on finding solutions and implement plans to try to achieve residents’ individual goals. We will assist residents to perform activities of daily living and continually educate ourselves in order to better serve the residents and their families in our community.

Our residents and their families are very important to us. We encourage them to share their ideas and goals as we work together towards helping them progress to their highest potential. To accomplish this, residents and their families will be given the appropriate amount of time and attention from our therapists here at Sky Harbor Care Center.

We believe that our patients who come here have entered what can be referred to as, “Get Well Boot Camp.” We make our therapy fun by maintaining a sense of humor during our treatments, even though recovering from a serious injury or illness is “no laughing matter.” We do not dwell on our patient’s limitations; rather employ their recovery process and results. We are here to help you.

Sky Harbor Care Center

Q: Do rooms already have a telephone and television? Is cable provided?
A: Yes, Sky Harbor Care Center provides a television and a basic cable package at no charge to the residents. Residents may use the house phone at not charge to them, or residents may choose to have their own telephone line installed in their room.

Q: What are your visiting hours?
A: Since Sky Harbor Care Center strives to provide a home-like atmosphere, visiting hours are not restricted and family member’s and friends can visit their loved one at their leisure as their schedule allows. However, after 8pm the facility is locked and visitors will have to use an alternative entrance and be buzzed in by a staff member.

Q: What items are Residents allowed to bring?
A: Items (such as furniture) are limited to whatever room space allows and all clothing must be labeled. Since many of our Residents are on strict diets, we require that all food not offered by Sky Harbor Care Center be approved by the Resident’s nurse and stored in a refrigerator near the nursing station.
