Founded in 1974, SeniorCare Experts is a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to helping seniors remain independent and aging in place.

To enable seniors to live healthy, comfortable and fulfilling lives at home, by being a trusted non-profit provider of services, products and information in metro Louisville.

How We Serve the Community:

We offer a wide array of support and care services for the senior at home. As a non-profit organization, we continually strive to offer grant-funded assistance for a number of financially needy seniors requiring services in the area.

SeniorCare Experts Home Delivered Meals Program

SeniorCare Experts' Home Delivered Meals Program is the only alternative in Jefferson County to the government sponsored meals-on-wheels program for seniors. Our program is open to seniors age 60+ as well as those under age 60, with a demonstrated need such as being disabled. If meal preparation has become a challenge for you, let our team of local chefs prepare them for you!

Keeping seniors healthy with a good nutrition program is the goal of this program. The importance of maintaining high nutritional standards as we age cannot be overstated! Well balanced meals are important and will be delivered to your home, eliminating grocery shopping, meal preparation, leftovers and waste.

A caring volunteer will deliver your locally prepared meals to your door.

Coverage areas: East Louisville, South Louisville, Old Louisville, Hikes Point, Buechel, Fern Creek, Jeffersontown, Okolona.

Philips Lifeline Medical Alert Service

SeniorCare Experts offers the Philips Lifeline Medical Alert Service. Lifeline gives you the confidence and freedom to live more independently in your home. Lifeline is an easy-to-use personal response service that enables older adults to get quick, caring assistance at the touch of a button whenever necessary-24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Philips Medication Dispensing Service

New! Remain at home safely with the Philips medication-dispensing service. Appropriate for those in need of help setting up complicated pill regimens and remembering to take pills in the correct amount and at the correct times.

The Philips Medication Dispensing Service (PMD) combines an automatic medication dispenser with the sterling Philips 24-hour monitoring service. Like falls, medication non-adherence poses a significant risk to seniors. SeniorCare Experts is pleased to offer this new service locally!

Home Care Services

Are tasks at home becoming difficult to manage? SeniorCare Experts' Custom Home Care Program offers a wide variety of home support services. Our specialists will visit with you and family members to develop a customized plan that best suits your needs.

In home services can include:

• Personal care: help with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Medication regimen adherence
• Help with meals
• Errands, grocery shopping
• Companionship
• Respite Care

SeniorCare Experts Personal Escorted Transportation (PET) Program

Are you no longer driving? Wish you could get out more often? Have no way to get to doctor visits or the beauty salon? Would you like to have someone stay with you on your outings? We have a solution! SeniorCare Experts Personal Escorted Transportation (PET) program is a one-of-a-kind senior transportation program in the Louisville area.

If you no longer drive but still need transportation, our flexible, escorted transportation service will help. Our trained, screened and security-checked team of caring volunteers will pick you up at home and drive you to your destination. They are available to stay with you throughout the drive if requested. The service is used for:

• Appointments with health care providers
• Beauty shop/Barber appointments
• Grocery shopping
• Errands – post office, bank, etc.
• Visits to local parks and attractions
• More – any outing need can be covered

Service Area

The service area for this unique program is eastern Jefferson County – east of Bardstown Road over to River Road. It encompasses roughly half of Jefferson County and includes Fern Creek, Jeffersontown, Buechel, Hikes Point, Middletown, Plainview, Prospect, St. Matthews, Crescent Hill, Clifton, Brownsboro Road, Zorn Avenue. Rides can be scheduled within these areas, or from one of these neighborhoods to the downtown area for a medical appointment and back home.
