About Us
Our HUD section 8 community, located in East Plano on Avenue L, has 129 one bedroom and studio apartments, and a newly renovated community room and kitchen, as well as new additions such as activity, wellness, computer learning and information, fitness centers, a library and much more.

Plano Community Homes East Campus apartments are designed to serve:
1) persons 62 years of age or older
2) persons 18 years of age or older who have a mobility impairment and who require the features of our accessible units which are wheel chair accessible and have roll-in showers.
Services
Service Coordination assists residents in maintaining an independent lifestyle and improve their quality of life.
Home Management
Service Coordinators can assist you with questions regarding your utility, cable, or phone bills and can also make referrals to money management programs to assist with budgeting and financial planning.
Health & Homemaker Services
Service Coordinators have information regarding local home health agencies and can assist in coordinating Meals on Wheels and housecleaning services.
Conflict Resolution/Lease Education
A Service Coordinator is available to listen to complaints or concerns related to policies and resident interactions, and when possible, will work towards a solution. They also serve as a liaison between management and residents, answering any questions, addressing conflict, and informing residents about lease policies and house rules.
Crisis Intervention/Resident & Family Support
Service Coordinators can help educate residents on emergency preparedness. They are available to talk to or to make referrals for counseling agencies as support during times of crisis.
Transportation
Service Coordinators can assist with arranging transportation and completing related forms.
Education/Employment
Service Coordinators help with employment and education needs. They find speakers and coordinate presentations in addition to assisting with individual employment and educational goals.
Activity Oversight/Volunteer Management
Service Coordinators work with volunteer groups and are available to assist the resident council in planning activities.
