About OPA

Orthotic & Prosthetic Associates was founded in 1999 by two Houston orthotists with over thirty years combined clinical experience in the local orthotic and prosthetic community.  Today, OPA has offices serving patients in the greater Houston area.

OPA has a mission to provide the highest quality orthotic and prosthetic care.  We achieve this by putting our patients first, by partnering with the premier health care referral sources, and continuing to evolve and grow with the latest technology.  OPA is committed to promoting educational in-services and seminars to the medical community and general public.

OPA is continually looking for ways to maximize efficiencies, reduce costs and improve patient care.  We have a number of ideas revolving around system wide pricing, inventory control management, and programs for the ER and Orthopedic departments.

Our orthotic and prosthetic devices are fabricated with the knowledge and experience to complement your lifestyle and needs.  Our educated practitioners can provide the best patient care for knee and hip problems, foot and ankle needs, spinal issues, shoulder, elbow, and hand dysfunction as well as any prosthetic issue, both upper extremity and lower extremity.  No matter your orthotic or prosthetic need, OPA will provide each individual with the time and clinical skills to allow for the perfect fit.

At Orthotic & Prosthetic Associates we make lower and upper extremity orthotics and prosthetics.  All of our clinicians are licensed by the State of Texas and affiliated with A.B.C. and the B.O.C. boards of certification which oversee credentialing in our industry.  The nine clinicians currently on staff with OPA have, on average, over twenty years of experience.  While we specialize in orthotics and prosthetics, we also partner with key local companies to provide other medical services such as durable medical equipment and casting services.  OPA has a mission to provide the highest quality orthotic and prosthetic care.  We achieve this by placing our patients first, by partnering with the premier health care referral sources, and continuing to evolve and grow with the latest technology.

Other Services

OPA's orthotic and prosthetic services include:

• Complete management of the prosthetic patient – preoperative care and education, early postoperative management, fitting, modifications, and adjustments to prepare the patient for life changing prosthetic needs
• Complete orthotic care including casting and/or measurement of patient, fitting and modifying the orthosis, and follow-up care and management to assure proper fit of each individual patient

Prosthetic management includes upper limb, Myoelectric, Ultra Light, flexible sockets, silicone suction sockets, energy storing feet, and hydraulic knees

Orthotic services include AFO, tone reducing AFO, articulated AFO, KAFO (Plastic/Metal), UCBL, orthotic shoe inserts, Boston scoliosis, TLSO, LSO, lumbar corset,  knee orthoses, fracture braces, cervical orthoses, upper and lower extremity sport orthoses, adult and pediatric halo services
