Senior Centers
MEAAA and St. Louis Area Agency on Aging Senior Centers serve as community focal points for older citizens. Each multi-purpose center offers hot, nutritious congregate meals and delivers meals to eligible homebound seniors. (The number of meals that can be delivered in each area depends on the number of available volunteers.).jpg)
Most centers are open every weekday and offer educational, recreational and health programs, along with Information and Assistance services, telephone reassurance, volunteer opportunities and more. There is no charge for center meals or services, but participants are given the opportunity to support them with contributions.
Meal Reservations
For meal reservations or other information, call your nearest senior center. For the address and phone number of the senior center nearest you, click on the name of your county.
Meals on Wheels
MEAAA's Meals on Wheels program brings nutritionally balanced meals on a voluntary contribution basis to eligible homebound people age 60 and older. To apply, contact the MEAAA senior center nearest you. Ask for the center's administrator. He or she will visit applicants to determine if they are eligible. People who receive this service may make voluntary contributions to help support the program.
