This is a simple promise that the staff at Manchester House—and throughout Emeritus Senior Living communities—has shared since our community first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful—a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our retirees who have chosen our community for its active lifestyle.

The Perfect Location

Manchester House is a beautiful landscaped community that is located in a friendly neighborhood in The Village of Oklahoma City. Its unique setting features a 2 acre lake that attracts local wildlife such as a variety of birds, fish and turtles. Manchester House is also located within feet of the local Village Police Station and approximately 10-15 minutes from Oklahoma City’s major hospitals. Local attractions within a mile include the Northside YMCA, Crossings Community Center, Village Metropolitan Library and a variety of churches. Other local attractions within driving distance include Bricktown, Oklahoma City’s known tourist attraction, Lake Hefner, Quail Springs Mall and numerous restaurants.

A Wonderful Selection

Manchester House is a one story community that offers both assisted living and memory care services. The variety of floor plan choices includes a studio, studio deluxe and one bedroom apartments that all come complete with kitchenettes and walk-in showers. All of the apartments come with basic cable though a local provider and have phone line hook up access. Community amenities include a laundry facility, beauty salon and an up and coming physical therapy room. Other amenities for the at home feel include a great room that is great for special events, an activities room, sun room and a book nook that is stocked by the Village Metropolitan Library.

Assisted Living Services

Our staff is here to ensure the needs of our residents are met. We have a full range of Assisted Living Services designed to help maintain your health. These include daily assistance with bathing and dressing, medication management, dining assistance and special diets, assistance with reminders and redirection, escorts to meals and an Emergency response call system. We offer Friendship Suites and Short Stay Respite visits. We have scheduled transportation to doctor visits.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Services

Manchester House strives to educate the staff and resident families about the memory care program that Emeritus Senior Living has developed called Join Their Journey. The Join Their Journey program was developed using a variety of techniques that help residents in the reminiscing process.

One technique that helps in the reminiscing process involves the resident life story. Upon move in, family members are asked to fill out a specific form that gives insight into their loved ones past, including favorite pastimes, important dates, names of close family members and hobbies Staff in the Memory Care Neighborhood, are led by the Memory Care Program Director who has a knowledge of the dementia process and connections with the local Alzheimer’s Association in central Oklahoma. Manchester House also has a select variety of resources available for family and friends.
