Each patient has unique and special needs, so our in-house therapy program is completely customizable to meet them. This is a collaborative effort among our team members, who work with your physician to create a unique vision and treatment plan for you. We can even provide specialized equipment to aid in your treatment.

 

We have a full-time in-house therapy team – not outside contractors or agencies – so our patients get to know their therapists, and vice-versa. Having the same therapy team working with you every day is a big plus, and we always seek to achieve just the right “match” between patient and therapist, for optimal results and comfort.   

 

The therapy staff is part of the “bricks and mortar” of Atlantic Memorial Healthcare & Rehabilitation, and our therapists take pride in the performance of the therapy department as well as the entire facility.  Our therapists provide ongoing education and training to other disciplines, to ensure the continuity of care between therapy and nursing. This is part of our holistic approach to caregiving, as the several disciplines in the facility work together with one goal in mind: your comfort and health.

Not only is our staff top-notch, our service is too. We’ve actually studied with the best the hospitality industry has to offer: The Ritz Carlton. The Ritz Carlton training led to our mission statement, quality standards, and even a pocket-sized assistant: the use of private “secret service-style” radios that DRAMATICALLY cuts down the time it takes for our staff to communicate with each other, thus increasing their response time and effectiveness!  Our staff loves it, and our patients truly benefit!

From the moment you pass through our doors, we want you to feel WELCOME! From our light-filled dining room to our airy walkways, our state-of-the-art therapy rooms and lovely outdoor spaces, we always want you and your loved ones to feel comfortable and cared for during your stay with us. Our accommodations feature comfortable beds, windows that let in plenty of light, and beautiful artwork that graces our hallways. What you’ll also notice is the pride and care we take in keeping everything sparkling clean. We’re committed to making the care you’ll receive, and the fresh, clean feeling you’ll experience when you come inside, reassure you that this is someplace special. We’ll do our best to make sure you feel that way, every day of your stay.

 

Come Join The Fun

 

Just one glance at our Activities Calendar and you know you’re in for something fun and informative. Once you arrive, we review with you and your family what your interests are, what you like to do at home, and assess your activity level. Then we custom-tailor a program (either in a group or in your room, one-on-one) to suit your individual needs.

 

You’ll never be bored! How about an ice cream social, an art class, music appreciation, creative writing, or a cooking class? We have a men’s club and classes where you’ll learn an entirely new craft or skill. In fact, currently on our Calendar of Events is a cooking demonstration for Turkish Treats! Each day there are plenty of activities to not only keep you busy, but a place where you can go to socialize with others during your stay. Not up for group activities? No problem. We’ll come to you, right there in your room. We also feature a pet therapy program, where we bring in animals for you to love and care for. We’re not sure who enjoys it more – the animals – or our residents!
