Arlington Commons

Riverside, CA, 92505

Located in a rural neighborhood of Riverside, California near hills, the Santa Ana River, and horse country, our country-flavored location is reflected in architecture, design for living, and social interaction. And we encourage the local creatures – birds and animals – to also make Arlington Commons home.

Resident's safety is paramount for us. Our extensive yards and gardens are surrounded by attractive fencing that promote outdoor activities and our Memory Care community is secured by keypad entry. Our interior courtyard offers a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the many wild birds that frequent our feeders and fountains.

We work for our residents and we work for our resident's in their home. It is that simple. We strive to become part of our resident's “extended family” in every way. Social and cultural histories are developed and understood, and physical and medical needs are known and addressed.

Our full-time activities staff members are dedicated to nurturing and facilitating wellness through meaningful activities and needs-based programming. An ongoing program of activities is designed to meet the individual interests of each resident as they pertain to physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual and leisure needs. Our programming incorporates choices that promote and encourage positive lifestyles in the resident's daily schedules.

A monthly calendar is prepared each month and posted for resident use. New and different programs are offered each month to ensure variety, and choice.

Arlington Commons offers several unique programs for our seniors. A good example is our Legacy Garden.

Having access to a garden can meet so many needs for both residents and their caregivers. In fact, a garden can be part of a treatment plan for people with Alzheimer's who are very restless or agitated and who like or need to walk a lot. Our Legacy Garden:
  • Provides exercise, opportunities to relieve tension, frustration and aggression.
  • Provides personal space for reflection and privacy.
  • Provides a unique social environment.
  • Provides stimulation with color, smells and sounds of wildlife.
