Mission Statement
To provide a high quality, comprehensive palliative program dedicated to promoting comfort and quality of life for clients and families facing a terminal illness. In recognition that facing a life limiting disease is much more than a physical experience, A*MED Community Hospice utilizes an interdisciplinary team approach to provide services for their clients and families. As human beings, we experience emotional and spiritual losses as well as physical during the dying process. Through meeting the numerous needs of the clients and families, we strive to enable the client to live life to the fullest extent possible and the family to adjust to life after their loss.
Services/Programs
A client is ready for hospice when they:
- Have a diagnosis of a life-limiting illness.
- Certified by a physician as having a life expectancy of six months or less.
- Agree to no further aggressive curative treatment.
- Agree to palliative care and comfort support.
