Biography
Mike Tienken started at the age of 9 rolling bandages for the Red Cross to use in support of torpedoed and wounded convoy sailors during 1942. After completing his education at Boston University, he entered the U.S. Marine Corps and found himself in Yokosuka Naval Hospital teaching basic EMT courses to new Army Medics and Navy Corpsmen. Forty years of work in hospital consulting on patient care systems and dealing with the DRG program and Staffing/Patient Classification issues brought Mike to Griswold Special Care and to Savannah in 2000.
