Robert Conner spent fifteen years in emergency medical services as a paramedic and another ten years as an emergency room nurse. He and Barbara Schuur, also a registered nurse, founded Mobility Concepts of Savannah in 1993. They saw a deep void in products and services available for the mobility impaired in Coastal Georgia and the Carolina Lowcountry.
