Biography
Bill Love made a life-changing decision when he decided he no longer wanted to leave his family in Memphis each week to travel to New York City for business. His former career spanned thirty years in the apparel business for large retail manufacturers including various celebrity clothing lines. Love wanted to utilize his Business Operations and Management skills to make a difference in the lives of others. After conducting extensive research on the Right At Home brand and seeing the successes of previous Memphis franchisees, Bob and Sheila Hunter, he was eager to get on board. Keying in on the vast growth potential for the brand as a whole and Memphis specifically, Love purchased the Memphis Right At Home franchise in November of 2010.
It was important to Bill to affiliate himself with a company that had already achieved strong brand recognition and credibility. He was interested in the franchising model and Right At Home had a good one. He wanted to be local to Memphis, close to home and was pleased to connect with a brand that had unlimited growth possibilities.
Bill came from a family of entrepreneurs, so owning his own business had always been on his radar. His personal goals included bettering the lives of others through his work. This purpose, combined with the success of the franchise model, the vast growth of the industry, and the respected name of the Right At Home brand, all proved that this was the right choice for Bill.
During the thirty years that Bill worked in the clothing and apparel business, he was involved in both the wholesale and retail side. He was VP of Sales, as well as the VP of Merchandising for a large retail manufacturer and worked with Sean “P Diddy” Combs, Master P, Lil Romeo and other celebrities to sell their brands. These years of being heavily involved in the building of brands, management, and corporate operations helped him tremendously as a Right At Home franchisee.
Bill has always had a keen respect for leaders that improve the lives of others, giving back to the community for which they are a part. He started thinking about the huge demographic of retiring Americans on the horizon and thought, “I am a baby boomer myself. This demographic is me. Who would I want taking care of me?” He just kept coming back to in-home care. Quality of life is much better if people can remain in their own homes. The founder of Right at Home, Allen Hager, left a career as a Hospital Administrator and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in people’s homes so he would know firsthand what was going on in the industry from the bottom up. He then began Right at Home in 1995. He kept the original agency in Omaha, Nebraska. The more Bill learned about the Right At Home story, and how Allen Hager started the company the more interested he was in becoming a part of the story. Today, Right at Home generates more than $200 million in annual revenue through its 250-plus offices across the United States, the United Kingdom and Brazil.
