The Government Services section for the Eldercare Channel of Long Island provides an exhaustive directory of local, state, and federal support programs for seniors and their families on Long Island. These programs include: councils on aging, area agencies on aging (AAA), social services departments, Medicare and Medicaid counseling services, and services and benefits for veterans (the VA or Veterans Administration). Our Video Host, Stephen Silverberg, is a Certified Elder Law Attorney at The Law Office of Stephen J. Silverberg. He is nationally recognized as a leader in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, asset preservation planning and Elder Law. He is also an author of the Elder Law module of the Interactive Legal Document Systems, the preeminent document drafting program for attorneys.
