At Whitesburg Gardens Health Care Center, our wide array of services enables our patients and residents to receive the medical care they need, the restorative therapy they require, and the support they and their families deserve.
At Whitesburg Gardens Health Care Center, patients and residents can be admitted twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Our Reservation Program is perfect for physicians, hospitals, patients and families planning ahead for rehabilitative care. A room can be reserved and preparations can be made well in advance of admittance, making the transition as simple as possible for you or your loved one.
Our nursing and rehabilitation center was awarded the American Health Care Association’s Bronze – Commitment to Quality award for our continued dedication to customer service. All licensed nursing staff has completed their competencies are certified in all specialty program tracks. With therapy services available seven days a week and physicians making rounds five day a week, it is clear to see our dedication to hope, healing and recovery.
From intensive short-stay rehab to longer-term restorative care, our nursing and rehabilitation centers provide a full range of medical and social services to treat and support each of our patients and residents. Many of our residents return home, but for those who cannot, we provide safe, compassionate care in an environment that fosters independence and dignity.
When patients leave the hospital, they often need continued care to recover completely. That’s where we come in. We work with you to set a care plan to meet your goals and abilities. Patients typically receive up to three hours of intensive rehabilitation each day, provided by our specially trained interdisciplinary team consisting of:
- consulting physician specialists
- nurses
- rehabilitation therapists
- respiratory and speech therapists
- social workers
- registered dietitians
Long-term care is when a person requires assistance with his or her physical or emotional needs over an extended period of time. The need might be due to a terminal condition, disability, illness, injury or the infirmity of old age. The need for long-term care may only last for a few weeks or months, or it may go on for years.
We provide the services and supplies that your family member needs while he or she is a resident at our center. This help may be required for many of the activities or needs of daily living, including:
- walking
- bathing
- dressing
- using the bathroom
- managing pain
- preventing unsafe behavior
- preventing wandering
- assistance with eating
- personal hygiene and grooming
- administering medications
