A Loving Legacy...

Since 1963, our goal has always been to reflect the love and care of Christ and to enrich our residents’ lives by nurturing them physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually without regard to race, religious preference or profit.

In fact, it is our desire to “do all the good we can” for our seniors – with a focus on financial stability rather than profit – that sets Wesley Manor apart from many other retirement communities and nursing facilities.  We firmly believe that what we do each minute of every day makes a difference in the lives of those whom we serve.

Memory Care

Because we know that residents who suffer memory loss require the most specialized care, often including health care services, we have taken the initiative to have our Memory Care Center licensed as a health care “Personal Care” facility. For our Memory Care Center residents and their families, the benefits of licensing are many and translate into an experienced, specially trained staff of licensed nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants (“CNAs”) and caregivers. These very special professionals are personally involved in the day-to-day activities of each of our Memory Care  Center residents. Therefore, we offer comfort and peace of mind to residents and their families that few other Alzheimer’s/Dementia facilities can give.

Our Memory Care Center is secured with a numbered code, so families and friends are free to visit at-will, but residents are safe and secure in a restraint-free environment. Because we want our residents to experience a sense of freedom, we also provide a beautifully landscaped and enclosed Memory Garden, just off our “front porch” that is complete with rockers. This allows them an opportunity to spend time out-of-doors when the weather permits and provides beautiful views in every season. We offer our residents' regular activities and outings that are specialized and appropriate for specific needs and interests, because routine and structure are important to those with short-term memory loss.

Our licensed nursing staff in the Memory Care Center oversees all medication management and administration. They also provide cueing and assistance, if needed, for dressing, bathing, personal hygiene, continency management, and morning and bedtime routines. Housekeeping is provided daily and personal laundry services are available at no additional charge.

Care Services

Intermediate Care

This level of care is for residents who have physical and/or memory impairments and who require either partial or total assistance with their activities of daily living ("ADLs") such as dressing, grooming and eating.

Skilled Care

More intensive care is offered for residents who require physical, occupational or speech therapy to help them return to their previous level of independence. Skilled care may also be required for residents who have had a recent hospital stay and who need to continue intravenous medication, tube feeding to maintain nutrition, or who require more intense nurse monitoring for resolving an illness.

Late Alzheimer's/Dementia Specialty Secure Care

Wesley Manor has always been a leader in Alzheimer's/Dementia care. In fact, we are one of only a few facilities that can provide specialized Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care from earliest diagnosis to end-of-life. The beautiful Peters Wing in our Health Care Center has recently been expanded and renovated, thanks to two generous grants received from the Good Samaritan Foundation. This cheerful area provides secure, restraint-free memory support care for residents with mid-to-late stages of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. In our enhanced Peters Wing, residents move about freely with access to a sunny Garden Room and enclosed Memory Garden. We also provide specialized activities designed and planned for residents with memory impairment. Our Peters Wing Staff in this area is specially trained in communication skills, and other special skills needed to accomplish tasks with these residents throughout the day.

Other Services and Amenities

In order to address the medical requirements of all our residents, and for the convenience of our residents and their families, we provide a Health Care Clinic on-site in The Health Care Center with a variety of health care providers scheduled regularly. Visits to these specialists are fully billable to Medicare and supplemental insurance companies.

Wesley Manor also offers an excellent activities program throughout, beauty/barber salon, transportation, a full-time chaplain, as well as weekly worship services.
