Walton Rehabilitation Health System is the only comprehensive, specialized JCAHO and CARF accredited provider of physical medicine and rehabilitation in the CSRA. Services offered range from inpatient and outpatient programs for persons recovering from stroke, head injuries, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, chronic pain and other disabling illnesses and injuries to community re-entry, assisted living and wellness programs. In its mission to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities, Walton Rehabilitation Health System has grown to include Walton Community Services, Walton Pain and Headache Centers, Walton Options for Independent Living, Walton Foundation for Independence, and Walton Technologies.

Walton’s simple campus layout and easily accessible walkways are accommodating to individuals with physical disabilities. Our single-story facilities are specifically designed to accommodate physical rehabilitation patients.

Until recently, people with physical disabilities who needed assistance with day-to-day living had little choice in their residence and lifestyle. Especially young adults. There were basically two choices – nursing homes or private, in home care – regardless of your age. Regardless of your most important desire – to be independent.
