The Kennedy Center
The mission of the Kennedy Center is to assist residents of Charlestown in meeting basic needs through the provision of services.
Seniors throughout Charlestown can enjoy the social and recreational activities
sponsored by the Kennedy Center. These include:
- A Senior Day Lounge located at 100 Ferrin Street, and featuring a daily hot
- lunch, bingo three times a week, and field trips and other activities
- Supervised senior swim at the Navy Yard YMCA (the Constitution Inn);
- Twice weekly senior aerobics at the Community Resource Center.
We also offer transportation once a day to local shops and businesses and prescription
pick-up and delivery twice a week.
HOME CARE SERVICES
The Kennedy Center provides homemaking and personal care services to the elderly
through a contract with Boston Senior Home Care. Services include:
- housekeeping
- shopping
- meal preparation
- personal care
to help seniors continue to live independently.
Our mission is to promote independence as well as physical and psychological well-being for all the seniors of Charlestown.
