The Health Center at Standifer Place
The Health Center at Standifer Place has evolved into a unique, comprehensive facility. From assisted living to compassionate hospice care, HCSP provides options for successive stages of life and changing levels of ability.
The Health Center at Standifer Place has become known for it's family like hospitality. Our approach to healthcare is centered on the holistic needs of each resident regardless of age, diagnosis, or need. Customer satisfaction is one of our primary goals, so that families have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are in the hands of people who truly care. We believe so strongly in customer service we have a full-time Director of Customer Service who works with our partners to instill a service oriented mindset from day one.
Our services are provided by compassionate professionals including staff physicians, nurse practitioners, licensed nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists, respiratory therapists, social workers, dietitians, recreational therapists, and a chaplain. To ensure the best possible care, our team of professionals tailor programs to meet each resident's specific needs.
The Alzheimer's/dementia unit at HCSP is designed to provide a safe, secure environment for residents suffering from different forms of dementia. This is accomplished using a combination of wander management equipment and secured exits. This dedicated wing provides 24-hour care consisting of an on-call Medical Director along with specially trained RNs, LPNs, and CNAs who understand the unique needs of these residents.
Even though this special unit is home to folks with memory loss/confusion, we take extra care in providing a rich variety of programming that will not only provide entertainment, it is also therapuetic.
We have over 20 licensed therapists on staff to serve in these three therapy disciplines. HCSP provides 7 day a week therapy to better meet the needs of our clients by aiding in quicker recovery and a faster return to home.
Through in-patient therapy, the rehabilitation staff members assist residents in reaching their recovery goals with encouragement and professional skill.
Dining at HCSP is a social event. Our attentive staff focus on creating a pleasant atmosphere that includes linen tablecloths, floral centerpieces, music, and comfortable chairs. Our regionalized menu caters to good southern cooking with a splash of other ethnic cuisines. Resident input plays a big part of this menu planning process. We constantly ask our residents for feedback on what we can do better. This information is taken seriously and used as part of our continual quality improvement plans, and customer satisfaction is one of the top goals of the Food and Nutrition Department.
