The 50-acres Davis Community includes the Health Care Center, a 199-bed skilled nursing facility; Champions Assisted Living, an apartment-style community of active seniors; and a new Rehabilitation and Wellness Pavilion to provide both inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy. The Wellness Center's community membership packages include aquatic and land exercise as well as educational seminars to improve the body, mind and spirit. Making the decision to move a loved one into skilled nursing care environment is one of the most difficult you may face. With more than 40 years' experience as a provider of quality health care services for the elderly, The Health Care Center at the Davis Community has developed a reputation for excellence and innovation. We offer a full range of services and amenities and, because we have always been a not-for-profit community, we continually reinvest our resources to meet the changing needs of the aging population. Our staff, residents and families work together to create purpose and meaning within our facility, and we continually seek ways to reflect the choices and comforts of home.

In addition to providing long-term care and assisted living services, The Davis Community is the ideal place for both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. We specialize in helping aging adults recover from hip fractures, knee replacements, or other short-term disabilities. Our medical and therapy teams will have you on the mend as soon as possible and our social work, recreation, housekeeping and dietary staff will make your temporary stay comfortable and enjoyable. We will also work closely with your physicians to ensure that their protocols are met and that they are kept informed of your progress. And, most importantly, you can pre-register for your stay to ensure that a guest room is available following your surgery.

The facility features 20 private guest rooms for short-term rehabilitation, elegant dining in the Pavilion Cafe, wireless Internet services, 32 inch televisions and DVD players in each guest room, inpatient and outpatient therapy gyms, and private treatment rooms. The Therapy Courtyard features a lovely gazebo with steps, ramps and curbs for therapy treatments. For the golf enthusiast, the putting green is a welcomed treatment option adjacent to the Occupational Therapy Gym. If the rehabilitation stay requires a few additional weeks, our Extended Rehabilitation wing provides all of the same amenities as in the new facility. The large private rooms are comfortable and inviting. The Rehabilitation and Wellness Pavilion also features an Outpatient Therapy Gym and private treatment rooms for physical, occupational, or speech therapy services.

Champions Assisted Living is assisted living at its finest. On our beautiful 50-acre campus in Porters Neck we offer apartment-style living with a variety of apartment choices to accommodate residents' varied lifestyles and preferences. Residents are encouraged to personalize their new home with family mementoes and cherished furniture. Personal Service Plans include a full range of services and amenities provided by highly trained professionals who enjoy and take pride in their relationships with the people who live and work at Champions. An excellent staff-to-resident ratio allows for personalize attention within the context of a home environment.

The Special Care Unit is a dedicated wing that provides families the best of both worlds - quality care and essential privacy combined with additional security for a loved one with a memory decline. Features include an enclosed outdoor courtyard, a neighborhood dining room and beautifully appointed living areas.
