The mission of the South Carolina Lowcountry Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research and promotion of brain health, and to enhance care and support for all individuals, their families, and caregivers. The South Carolina Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association stands by people with Alzheimer’s disease and those who care for them with a wide range of programs and services.

There are over 13,000 people diagnosed just in the South Carolina Lowcountry. That’s why the Lowcountry Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is here – to create a world without Alzheimer’s disease while optimizing quality of life for individuals with Alzheimer’s and their families.

Support groups

We offer a variety of support groups for all individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease. Groups are facilitated by trained volunteers. Some locations offer specialized groups for those with early-stage Alzheimer’s.
