We are dedicated to rehabilitation to help short-term patients return to their homes and families as soon as possible. And, for long-term residents, we provide quality, ongoing care and the opportunity for a full and active lifestyle at Summit View.
Summit View of Farragut offers four levels of care to our residents to fit the specific patient's abilities and medical needs.
Skilled Care: Skilled care patients come to us directly from the hospital when it's necessary to continue recovery in a skilled medical facility. Their time with us, whether short-term or for a longer stay, usually focuses on rehabilitation from their injury or illness.
"Almost Home": This innovative program helps soon-to-be-discharged residents practice the skills they will need to live independently. In a simulated home environment specially equipped with appliances and furniture, they practice the routine activities of daily living.
Intermediate Care: Intermediate care is for patients whose health and quality of life would be compromised by the limitations of home care. Within our facility, patients can be transferred to higher or lower levels of care as need requires.
Jamestowne Special Care Unit: This unit is dedicated to the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. It is staffed by professionals who have been specially trained to care for those suffering from dementias. For example, we offer specialized activities that stimulate minds that may seem to be closed. Jamestowne is a secure environment of openness and freedom of movement, without sometimes-confusing hallways.

We offer a wide range of planned activities and social events designed to appeal to residents of all interests and abilities. These include gardening, monthly outings, physical activities, community service craft projects, movies, games, socials and music events.
Besides being just plain fun, physical activities are important to the health of both mind and body. Residents enjoy activities such as the Walk and Wheel Club or going on bowling outings. And, for a truly special occasion, there’s even a Senior Prom each spring.
