Services and Care Provided-Sterling House of Jacksonville offers assisted living services for seniors

Personalized Service Assessment and Plan-Our personalized assessment evaluates your individual needs and preferences. Then we customize a service plan to meet those needs and preferences. Your personalized plan is based upon the amount of time it takes to provide quality services. Therefore, you only pay for what you need and want.

Assistance with Personal Needs-Our trained staff is there to assist you with your personal needs, in the privacy of your suite/apartment. We provide assistance with – Bathing or showering, selection of clothing, dressing assistance, grooming, hygiene, mobility and transferring and dining assistance.

Ambulation & Escort Services-We will escort you to meals and activities within the building.

Three nutritious and appetizing meals served daily-We provide you with breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. All of the meals we offer are selected by a registered dietician to ensure optimal nutritional value.

Housekeeping Services-We clean your suite/apartment regularly and take out the trash when needed.

Personal Laundry Services-We launder your personal items, linens and towels and change your bed linens. You may do some or all of your own laundry in the complimentary washers/dryers.

Continence Management-We offer a comprehensive continence management program – from reminders to scheduling to assistance.

Life Enrichment Programming-Our programs and outings are specially designed with residents’ individual interests and capability levels in mind – from wellness programs to outings to fitness and educational programs to cultural and social events – there is something for everyone.

Specialized intervention programs-We know that good monitoring and intervention in specific areas can help avoid illness and/or injury and improve quality of life for our residents. For this we have developed and implemented specially designed nutrition tracking, weight management and falls management programs.

Handicapped accessibility-Our community is easily navigated by individuals using wheelchairs and other assistive devices.

Library-We offer books in regular print, large print and on tape as well as current magazines and the daily newspaper.

Dining Room-Our full service dining room offers a relaxing setting, generous hours , open seating and well trained staff to ensure a pleasurable dining experience.

Sun room-Our bright and cheery sunroom is fully enclosed for year round enjoyment.

Sterling House offers nutritious, restaurant-style meals served by our trained wait staff, and our chefs are masters at creating traditional meal favorites plus a selection of fresh, flavorful dishes using low-sodium, heart-healthy cooking techniques.

We strive to offer our residents plenty of choices in their dining experience. They choose where to sit and what they want to eat. The dining room has extended hours for residents’ convenience.

Meals are prepared by our trained chefs, using only hand-selected produce, the freshest herbs and spices, and the freshest meat and seafood. Sterling House’s chefs will gladly cater special events, even preparing dishes from residents’ own recipes. A private dining room is available to entertain family and friends.

Resident comments and menu suggestions are reviewed daily and are used to tailor menu selections.
