St Barnabas Apartments & Assisted Living
St. Barnabas is a healing ministry, providing healthcare and retirement living within an environment of Quality, Caring, and Compassion for all.
St. Barnabas is Chattanooga's only independent, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community. For more than forty years we have provided quality elder care service in a nurturing home environment.
St. Barnabas maintains a strong faith tradition. Since 1965, the spiritual well-being of our patients and residents is inseparable from the physical, emotional, and mental. As a faith-based ministry, St. Barnabas welcomes individuals from all denominations and faith communities.
The residents enjoy a worry-free lifestyle that includes meals, laundering of linens and bed sheets, monitored medications, 24-hour a day care from certified staff, and a portable emergency call system that allows the residents to summon for immediate help.
On admission, each resident is assessed for Level of Care (LOC). This assessment ensures residents receive the care they need and are only charged for the services they require. A level is assigned to each resident through a tabulated system. A service level is then assigned which results in a daily fee of $0 (independent) to $25 (Level 4).
Medication management is a key reason many choose Assisted Living. The St. Barnabas staff nurse evaluates medications weekly and staff members are trained to monitor medication administration. Careful medication documentation is maintained, and the physician is notified of any medication concerns.
This is the type of daily scenario that St. Barnabas apartment residents experience - an escape from the world of rush-hour traffice, lawn maintenance, and daily chores. But living a fun and worry-free retirement involves more than just freedom from housekeeping and maintenance. It should also be a community where residents are surrounded with support, comfort, and security in a culture that promotes the well-being of the entire person.
