At Somerford Place Alzheimer's Assisted Living Annapolis, our unique approach to caring for residents with Alzheimer’s or memory loss includes helping each person to continue engaging in activities and with others to rediscover skills and interests, and to reach their highest potential at that moment.

 

Our award-winning Alzheimer's Care program is called Bridge to Rediscovery. Based on the Montessori approach to education, Bridge to Rediscovery focuses on residents achieving small successes each day, to help each individual rediscover joy and value.

 

Each staff member -- from our dining staff to our resident care assistants -- receives intensive training specifically in Alzheimer’s care and the Bridge to Rediscovery approach.
