Founded in 1967 as a Retirement Center, Shannondale and Buckingham are non-profit entities administered by Presbyterian Homes of Tennessee, Inc. There are many similarities in the varied accommodations, all designed to enhance a fuller, more pleasant life-style.

 

Beautifully appointed lobbies and clubhouse areas; excellent restaurant-style dining rooms that serve three tempting meals each day prepared in our own kitchens. Full-time activities directors and resident councils encourage residents to participate in a large variety of interesting, creative, social, religious and cultural activities each month.

Shannondale Retirement Center Offers Monthly Rental Plans, Membership Fee Plans and Full Health Care Programs. You may select either a monthly rental plan or the membership fee plan at Shannondale Retirement Center. A selected number of single rooms, efficiency and one-bedroom apartments are available on a monthly basis with no prior membership payment. All plans have the same basic daily services. Three tempting meals served each day are prepared in our own kitchens and served restaurant style at your table in a beautiful, spacious dining room.Varied social, spiritual, and cultural activities at no extra cost add to the personal care you receive at Shannondale.

 

A nurse is on duty 24 hours a day and a physician is available weekly. Optional lifetime health care benefits provide complete access to Shannondale Health Care Center, a 200-bed skilled nursing facility located immediately adjacent to the Retirement Center.
