Right at Home New Castle County
Right at Home understands your concerns when it comes to making big decisions regarding your family.
Who We Are
Right at Home was founded by Allen Hager. For many years, Allen worked in healthcare as a hospital administrator. While in the hospital environment, he watched many of his patients – especially seniors – leave the facility and return home, but not necessarily return to health. Once home, a lot of his former patients were unable to care for themselves.
Allen knew that with a little help, most of these people could lead healthy, happy lives in their own homes. But he also knew that there were very few companies that offered this kind of help. Allen didn't just jump in and start a franchising company, however.

Services for everyone. A plan just for you.
Right at Home offers caregiving services for almost any family and practically any situation. Our in-home care lets loved ones enjoy healthy lives in the comfort of a familiar environment. We tailor our care to your unique situation through a Custom Care Plan. These individualized care programs are carried out through our adult home care providers and include whatever your loved one needs from any of our care categories.
How We Work

About Our Caregivers
Our caregivers want more than a job. They want to make a difference in the lives of those in their care. As a company, our job is to give caregivers the direction and tools they need to fulfill their personal mission of service, as well as our corporate mission of improving the lives of those we serve.
Selection
To ensure that the people we employ meet our high standards, we have a rigorous selection process. Before caregivers can become employed with Right at Home and begin caring for clients, every one of them must go through:
-
Reference checks

- Background clearance
- Personal interviews
- Competency testing
Once a caregiver meets our strict selection criteria, it's just the beginning. First, all Right at Home caregivers are insured and bonded. Then, each caregiver goes through a comprehensive orientation process that ingrains our policies and procedures.
Training and Continuing Education
Our CERT (Caregiver Education Retention and Training) program provides ongoing, specialized training that ensures that our caregivers understand the high standards of care expected by Right at Home.
Through Right at Home University – the educational arm of our CERT Program – caregivers are given training on issues that help them develop as better overall caregivers, as well as deal with very specific situations, including:
- Alzheimer's & Dementia
- Medication Management and Compliance
- Osteoarthritis and Mobility Loss
- Hypertension/Stroke Recovery
- Diabetes
- Heart Disease
- Cancer Recovery
Right at Home's staff were very professional, understanding, and helpful with my family; they were willing to go the extra step and to be contacted at all hours. I was amazed how quickly Right at Home was able to get a caregiver in my Grandparents' home and help them immediately. They went through the process of finding a quality caregiver that specifically fit my Grandparents' personality and needs. It was a pretty efficient process all around.
