The Vision at Quality Home Care Services (QHCS) - The 4C Company is to provide supervised, superior services by utilizing competent and dedicated professionals who possess cutting edge knowledge, techniques and skills to our clients and their families.

We want to promote and inspire clients,families, and communities through connections of inclusion, advocacy and support.

Quality Home Care Services, Inc. is a community based agency designed to serve a variety of special clients who are in need of one or more of the specialized services that we deliver.

From children to the elderly - QHCS - The 4C Company delivers professional services to CAP consumers, HIV/AIDS clients and clients in need of private duty in home aide services. We recognize at QHCS that our clients and their families want skilled, professional services provided by caretakers and managers who are dedicated.

Introduction

Donors and volunteers support charitable organizations like the Quality Home Care Services, Inc. (QHCS) because they trust the organizations to carry out their missions, to be good stewards of their resources, and to uphold rigorous standards of conduct. Not-for-profit organizations must earn this trust every day and in every possible way.

To demonstrate its ongoing commitment to the core values of integrity, honesty, fairness, openness, respect, and responsibility, QHCS has formally adopted a Statement of Values and Code of Ethics with which all of our board members, staff, and volunteers. In addition, the existence of the Statement of Values and Code of Ethics has been publicly communicated (i.e., on QHCS’s website) and shared with key stakeholders (i.e., potential grant recipients).

Statement of Values

Founded in 2004 by Lisa Wigfall, a community activist, Quality Home Care Services, Inc. (QHCS) is a local and national leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS, assisting individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues, and offering personal care services. We collaborate with community organizations to develop and improve HIV/AIDS, mental health, and personal care services; coordinate prevention, care, and advocacy projects; and champion effective, compassionate HIV/AIDS policy.

QHCS is built on a foundation of widely shared values. These values include:

These values lead directly to the Code of Ethics that follows. The values inform and guide the way we-QHCS’s board members, staff, and volunteers-should perform our responsibilities when acting on behalf of the organization.

Code of Ethics

I. Personal and Professional Integrity

All staff, board members, and volunteers of the Quality Home Care Services, Inc. (QHCS) act with honesty, integrity, and openness in our dealings as representatives of the organization. QHCS promotes a working environment that values respect, fairness, and integrity, and we put the needs of the organization in front of personal gain and interest.

II. Mission

The Quality Home Care Services, Inc. (QHCS) has a clearly stated mission and purpose, approved by the board of directors, in pursuit of the public good.

Our mission is to lead the fight against HIV/AIDS, mental health and substance abuse issues and improve the lives of people affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic and for those who suffer from substance and mental illnesses.

All of our programs support our mission and all who work for, or on behalf of, the organization understand and are loyal to that mission and purpose. The mission is responsive to the constituency and communities served by the organization and of value to society at large.

III. Governance

The Quality Home Care Services, Inc. (QHCS) has a Board of Directors that is responsible for setting the mission and strategic direction of the organization and overseeing the finances, operations, and policies of the organization. The Board of Directors:

• Ensures that its board members have the requisite skills and experience to carry out their duties and that all members understand and fulfill their governance duties acting for the benefit of the organization and its public purpose.
• Has a conflict of interest policy that ensures that any conflicts of interest or the appearance thereof are avoided or appropriately managed through disclosure or other means.
• Is responsible for the hiring, firing, and regular review of the performance of the Executive Director, and ensures that the compensation of the Executive Director is reasonable and appropriate. This is a specific responsibility of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.
• Ensures that the Executive Director and appropriate staff provide the Board of Directors with timely and comprehensive information so that the Board of Directors can effectively carry out its duties.
• Ensures that QHCS conducts all transactions and dealings with integrity and honesty.
• Ensures that we promote working relationships with board members, staff, volunteers, and program beneficiaries that are based on mutual respect, fairness and openness.
• Ensures that QHCS is fair and inclusive in its hiring and promotion policies and practices for all board, staff and volunteer positions.
• Ensures that QHCS’s policies are in writing, clearly articulated and officially adopted.
• Ensures that our resources are responsibly and prudently managed.
• Ensures that QHCS has the capacity to carry out its programs effectively.

You and your loved one deserve an optimum level of care that perseveres the dignity of the individual. It can be an emotional time when you realize that you or your loved one needs assistance. Finding the best home care assistance is of utmost importance. Our staff is supervised by highly educated and licensed skilled professionals with over 18 years of experience in providing home care services to individuals. QHCS house calls offer affordable and exceptional care in a professional manner.

CAP MR/DD

We offer a variety of services to individuals who are approved for the CAP program. These services include: Home and Community Support, Residential Support, Specialized Case Consultation, Educational Testing, and Respite services. Please call for additional information.

What is Private Duty Nursing?

Private Duty Nursing is continuous medically necessary and a substantial array of complex nursing services, which are provided by a licensed nurse (RN or LPN) in the client’s home

CAP/C

The service may include performance of specialized continuous nursing services. The CAP/C provides cost effective home care to medically fragile children (through age 18) who would otherwise require long-term hospital care nursing facility care.

HIV Support

People living with HIV/AIDS should be empowered to effectively manage their HIV disease process and improve their overall quality of life.

QHCS - The 4C Company through its “Hope Is Vital” Case Management is committed to helping people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. QHCS - The 4C Company provides HIV/ AIDS Case Management to people living with HIV or AIDS.

Nanny Care

From children to the elderly - Quality Home Care Services offers an array of services. We realize that everyone would like a break... that’s why we have created the Generation 2 Generation Program. We offer child care and nanny care services whether you are in town or an out of town guest.
