About Us

Performance Home Medical is a patient oriented, locally owned and operated home medical equipment provider in the Puget Sound and Spokane regions of Washington State.  We specialize in respiratory services including sleep therapy equipment and home oxygen; also providing home medical equipment to include hospital beds, wheelchairs and patient room equipment in most locations.  We are based in the Kent area, just south of Seattle with branch and clinical offices in our neighboring communities of Lynnwood, Tacoma, Olympia, Puyallup & Spokane.   

We are all about exceptional service!  We pride ourselves on the quality of our care which extends from the initial order through the scheduling, training, education, insurance billing and subsequent patient follow-up.  We partner with your physicians and other healthcare professionals to assure your needs are met and to help improve the quality of your life. 

In February 2008 we gained “quality” Accreditation through HQAA, by meeting and exceeding multiple rigorous standards of quality in all aspects of our operations.

Our staff includes full time respiratory therapists, clinicians, customer service and delivery staff who are all experienced, knowledgeable and well trained.  We care about our patients….and it shows!

Oxygen

Patients who are prescribed oxygen are a priority and when being discharged from a hospital will receive portable oxygen for the trip home. Shortly after the patient returns home, one of our service technicians will arrive at their home to set-up oxygen, evaluate what is the best system for them, provide training to the patient, family and caregivers on the use and safety of the equipment, and make sure they know how to contact at any time. Equipment selection is based upon the portability needs of the patient, their home environment and any dexterity and/or safety concerns identified.

Both Respironics System One P series and ResMed’s S9 Elite offer quality and innovation for the new or experienced PAP user. They are available in various models with different features as prescribed by your physician.

Nasal Mask

The Nasal Mask is the most commonly used type of interface.  A nasal mask fits over the nose and is held in place by adjustable headgear.  Chin straps can be added to work as a reminder to breathe through the nose.  We carry a wide variety of styles and sizes from all major manufacturers.

Comfort Care Pad

The Comfort Care pad is new and many of our patients are finding it helpful to maintain their mask seal and for general comfort.

• Acts as a barrier between mask and skin
• Improves mask comfort- nasal & full face
• Covered by most insurance plans
• Wash with warm water before each use.
• Recommended replacement is approximately every 30 days.
