Oaklawn is an exceptional new rehab and nursing care facility where patients receive the finest care in an atmosphere that is unmatched for its comfort, elegance and privacy. We have 128 spacious, private rooms, each with a beautiful view, a fully accessible bathroom, a call system that’s answered in person, and more. And these private rooms are fully covered by Medicare for qualified patients.

With our state-of-the-art rehab services, our goal is to help patients regain their strength and functional ability, and return home to enjoy their greatest level of independence. During the time they spend with us, we provide their care in a hotel-like environment, with delicious meals, stimulating activities and luxurious amenities. Our beautifully landscaped grounds, with walking paths, an arboretum, large pond and colorful plantings, contribute to a warm environment that helps patients maintain a healthy, positive attitude during their recuperation.

Short-Term Rehabilitation

Patients who choose to receive their rehabilitation at Oaklawn get the benefit of the industry’s most advanced techniques and equipment plus individual attention from highly skilled therapists. We focus on maximizing each patient’s strength, mobility and functional abilities in an atmosphere of dignity and encouragement. We also offer the special convenience of pre-registration, which simplifies the hospital discharge process and gives patients the security of knowing that a spacious, private room will be waiting for them at Oaklawn.

To achieve the best outcome possible and improve the patient’s quality of life, each patient’s program of care is customized according to his or her particular needs. It may include physical, occupational, or speech therapy, or a combination of these services.

Medical Care

Oaklawn is Medicare certified to provide skilled nursing care and brings patients the following:

• Licensed nurses (RN’s and LPN’s) on duty around the clock and medical technologists on staff
• Care planning meetings that include the patient, his or her family and our interdisciplinary management staff
• A nurses’ station in each of our four wings
• Medications administered by our nursing staff
• Physicians who specialize in gerontology on call 24 hours a day
• Internist, rehabilitation specialist, infectious disease specialist and psychiatric physician on staff
• The option for the patient’s personal physician to continue managing his or her care
• Physician-directed rehabilitation services including physical, speech, and occupational therapies, complemented by a restorative nursing program
• Pharmacy services with a registered pharmacy consultant
• Diagnostic services, including X-ray, laboratory and EKG
• On-premise Automatic External Defibrillators
