North End Rehabilitation & Nursing Center
The North End Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a 140-bed, not-for-profit skilled nursing facility that offers short- term care and long-term care for older adults.

We are committed to providing innovative, high-quality medical and rehabilitative services, and to enhancing the quality of life for each person to whom our facility is home.
At the North End Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, families are an integral part of our care program. Families are encouraged to participate actively in all aspects of care, and to be an important component of the interdisciplinary care model.
Nursing
A professional nurse oversees each unit of the facility. Patients receive personalized daily care from the same team, and nursing care is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Rehabilitation Services
Rehabilitation Services at NERNC are provided through Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Spaulding is the leading rehabilitation hospital in New England and has been named annually since 1995 to U.S. News and World Report’s list of America’s Best Hospitals.
Short-Term Transitional Care
Think of transitional care as a bridge to becoming well. At NERNC we focus on helping you make the transition from acute hospitalization to home. In fact, we provide an atmosphere much like home, where you can practice taking your medications or using a walker, for example, if necessary. Our goal is to have you leave our care stronger, healthier, and more self-sufficient.
Services include short-term rehabilitation, respite care, and specialized wound care. Patients or residents who are admitted to NERNC must be medically stable. Common diagnoses of patients include mild strokes, joint replacements, arthritis, and patients who require intravenous antibiotics.
