About NHC Place

NHC Place at Cool Springs, which opened in June 2004, is the first senior care community in Williamson County that includes an Assisted Living Center and a multi-specialty Health Center on a single campus.

Our Philosophy: The NHC Campus Concept:

National HealthCare Corporation (NHC) was founded in 1971 by Dr. Carl E. Adams, a physician, business and community leader from Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The late doctor and his wife Jennie Mae dreamed of building a “campus concept” that provides a continuum of care for older adults. A place where residents and patients could live as independently as possible in a beautiful, secure and caring environment, free from the daily burdens involved in maintaining a home and with access to medical care if a when they needed it. Also, married couples could stay together, even if their health care needs were different.

The Assisted Living Center

Providing enhanced comfort and security to residents of varying independence levels, The Assisted Living Center at NHC Place allows residents the opportunity to live an enjoyable, social lifestyle in an elegant environment. The Center’s 43 apartments include kitchenettes, private baths, individually controlled central heating and cooling and an emergency response system.  All offer convenient access to beautiful community areas, like our restaurant-style dining room, soda shop, sunroom, gathering room, enclosed courtyard, and more.

Levels of Service

Catered Living

Recommended for independent residents who need enhanced comfort, convenience and security.  Your daily base rate includes the following services and amenities:

• choice of studio, studio, 1, and 2 bed floor plans
• three delicious and nutritious meals daily
• snacks available at the soda shop throughout the day
• daily medication reminders if needed
• weekly housekeeping with linen change
• active social, recreational, and educational programs coordinated by our social director
• scheduled transportation for local shopping, doctor appointments and other events in our NHC Place community van
• occasional assistance with daily living activities
• state-of-the-art personal security and medical alert system with individual pendants
• health and wellness checks in our on-site clinic
• all utilities covered, including local telephone service
• cable television
• 24 hour licensed nursing staff coverage

Customized Living

Recommended for residents who need regular personal attention and administration of medicines.  Level of care will be based on a personal care assessment.
