Morning Pointe Assisted Living of Chattanooga is all about choices. Our caring staff members guide residents through daily activities providing help to them as needed. Individualized levels of service and care are developed for each resident. We monitor each resident’s progress and adjust service when necessary reinforcing our resident’s independence and overall wellness - both physical and emotional. Morning Pointe also offers care for individuals who need assisted living on a short term basis due to a medical procedure or when a caregiver is unable to provide daily assistance.

The Lantern is a specialized program at Morning Pointe for persons suffering from Alzheimer’s or other memory-related disorders. These special individuals have different needs that are ever changing from day to day.

Our approach to care is based on the philosophy that our residents are functioning individuals at different levels. We develop a service plan for each resident based on their specific needs. Although they have different needs, they still have the same need to be loved, to laugh, to feel useful, and need to be treated with dignity and respect.

We believe that engaging our residents in a 24-hour activity-focused program will help them maintain a higher quality of life and independence. We follow the guideline of the Circle of Life activities for Alzheimer’s patients. This breaks down our activities into five categories: Cognitive, Sensory, Social/Recreational, Spiritual, Physical and Normalization Activities.

Our nation is experiencing a rapid growth in the 85+ population segment. With this segment, there is an increasing need for physical and mental assistance, but not to the degree of a nursing home. Assisted living is designed to meet this need and provides a natural choice to a traditional geriatric nursing home for seniors who do not require skilled nursing care.

Assisted living offers a personalized service plan for every resident. Each individual’s needs and preferences are taken into consideration. Recognition and promotion of maximum independence, choice, dignity, privacy, and autonomy are standards of assisted living.
