Senior Center

The mission of the Heart of Georgia Community Action Council, Inc., and the Middle Georgia Community Action Agency, Inc., is to provide, in collaboration with public and private partners, social services that address the needs of disadvantaged individuals.

This program identifies, investigates and attempts to resolve complaints that are made by, or on behalf, or residents in long-term care facilities. The program is designed to improve the quality of life and care of all residents.

Ongoing monitoring and analyzing is a must for the development and implementation of federal, state, and local laws, regulations and other government policies and actions pertaining to long-term care facilities and services, and to the health, safety, welfare and rights of residents.

The Senior Center Program is a community facility for older individuals that provides a broad spectrum of services; nutritional, safety, wellness, social and educational. The program also provides a home meal delivery service to individuals not able to attend the center. The services provided are meant to allow the senior to live in their home thus avoiding premature placement in a residential facility or institution.
