About Us

Since 1927, Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab has been invested in the health and happiness of each individual who enters our doors. We serve people and families of all faiths with compassion, dignity, and commitment.

Rich History

Beginning as the B’nai B’rith Home for the Aged, MJHR was originally located at 131 North Tucker Street in Midtown Memphis. MJHR became its own nonprofit organization in the 1950s, independent of the B’nai B’rith organization. By 1967, the old building was completely replaced with a new modern facility.

When you or someone you care about needs help with typical daily activities, Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab provides long-term care in a beautiful, comfortable environment. We offer committed and compassionate certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses, and registered nurses. And they’re on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Therapies and Services

At Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab, we develop a treatment program that focuses on the unique needs of each patient. With access to the most advanced therapy equipment, our highly skilled team of medical professionals helps guide our patients to their highest level of independence, all within bright, modern rehab facilities.

Upon admission to MJHR, you or your loved one will be evaluated by all therapy disciplines to determine how much and which types of therapy are needed. Your admitting physician will sign off on the plan before we begin treatment. The plan is continually evaluated throughout the healing process, with adjustments made, if needed. We hold periodic conferences with you and your family to discuss this plan and to review clinical records, approaches, progress, and any concerns. We will also send progress information to your doctor before you return for follow-up care.
