McGuffey's dedicated and caring staff provides a full range of skilled nursing and rehabilitative care, while meeting residents' emotional and spiritual needs with dignity and compassion. McGuffey Healthcare Center was the Recipient of the AHCA Quality Award (Step 1) in 2003, the Alabama Quality Award (Level 1) in 2005, and the Alabama Quality Award (Level 2) in 2006 and 2007. The facility underwent complete renovation in 2006 to better to serve its residents.

Rehabilitation Services

Rehabilitation is very important to us at McGuffey Healthcare Center and is an essential element of life here.  We have an in-house staff who works directly for our company.  This means that you get physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists who work hand in hand with nursing and other departments to give you the comprehensive care you deserve. 

Our rehabilitation department is integral in enabling our residents and short term patients to recuperate faster and achieve a level of maximum function.

We offer short term inpatient rehabilitation on our specialized Rehab First units and comprehensive rehabilitation and restorative services for our long term residents.
