Types of Rehabilitation Therapy
Physical Therapy
Probably the most commonly known form of rehabilitation therapy, physical therapy is the treatment of disease or disability through therapy and exercise. Our programs include assistance with gait training, bed mobility, wound care, restraint reduction and wheelchair positioning.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is designed to help patients regain skills related to activities of daily living. Individuals may require this therapy if, as the result of an illness or injury, they have difficulty completing tasks such as eating, dressing, housekeeping or grooming.
Speech-Language Pathology
Speech-language therapists work with patients to help them regain or strengthen their ability to speak with ease and clarity. Our speech therapists utilize the latest technology and clinical processes to help patients regain the ability to communicate and improve swallowing.
Health Management
Our center offers nutrition management, diabetes care and infectious disease care. Our care commitment is carried out by a team that includes physicians, nurses, therapists, nutritionists and other support staff.
Support Services
Beyond clinical and restorative care, our center offers support services to aid you in your recovery as well as in your transition to home or another level of care. These services include care transition, case management, social services and patient/family education.
Short-Term Care
When patients leave the hospital, they often need continued short term care to recover completely. That’s where we come in. We work with you to set a care plan to meet your goals and abilities.

Cardiac Care
We provide cardiac care for conditions such as congestive heart failure high, blood pressure and post pacemaker insertion. Our interdisciplinary teams include physical therapists, registered dieticians, pharmacists, physicians and registered licensed nurses with specialized training in treating cardiac conditions.
Stroke Recovery Care
Stroke recovery provides treatment to help patients with strokes return to meaningful roles in life by relearning skills for every day living. This involves an Interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nursing, pharmacy and physician services.
Pulmonary Care
Our pulmonary services are designed to assist our residents who have lung complications or disorders.
Wound Care
Wounds can occur for a variety of reasons, from post-surgery complications to normal skin aging.
Our center provides quality wound care designed to achieve positive outcomes and to help each resident reach his or her highest level of functioning. Program goals focus on wound healing and prevention of skin care complications.
Our interdisciplinary wound care teams include physical therapists, registered dietitians and registered and licensed nurses with specialized training in treating wounds.
Respite Care
Our Respite Care Program includes:
- an individualized daily exercise program, social and recreational activities
- physical, occupational and speech-language therapies, as needed
- balanced, therapeutic meals, snacks and diet education
- activities that include arts and crafts, live entertainment and day trips
- religious services
Long-Term Care
Long-term care is when a person requires assistance with his or her physical or emotional needs over an extended period of time. The need might be due to a terminal condition, disability, illness, injury or the challenges of old age. The need for long-term care may only last for a few weeks or months, or it may go on for years as is customary in a traditional nursing home.
Dementia Care
The individuals we serve include those experiencing gradual memory decline or other memory, behavior and medical complications.
Palliative Care
Palliative care is any form of medical care or treatment that is designed to prevent and relieve pain and suffering, and to improve quality of life for people facing serious, complex illnesses. This can include psychological and spiritual care and developing a support system to help the individual live as actively as possible. Our team of caregivers, which often includes a social worker or a counselor, can play a role in helping the patient and family cope with the symptoms of disease and illness in ways other than medical/pharmacological intervention.
Hospice Care
"Hospice" comes from the Latin word for hospitality, referring to the warmth and courtesy extended to special guests, such as travelers who had fallen sick or otherwise needed a place to stay. Guided by a philosophy of compassion and dignity, our hospice approach centers on a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and volunteers who provide ongoing support for both patient and family in familiar surroundings.
