Known as h2u – is a program sponsored by
Trident Health System for people of all ages. The program focuses on living a healthy lifestyle while offering fun social opportunities. Trident Health System sponsors the only h2u chapter in the Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester areas and currently has a membership of more than 1,000
men and women.

“We offer a variety of programs, including craft classes, defensive driving, exercise, Meet and Eat and travel opportunities,” said Belinda Riffee, Community Relations Supervisor for Trident HealthFinders, a service of
Trident Health System.

The exercise classes offered include water aerobics, gentle yoga, weight lifting, aerobics and line dancing, which are accessible to members for just $10 per month. Benefits of membership include a 10 percent discount in the Trident Medical Center gift shop and a 10 percent discount at the Trident and Summerville Medical Center cafeterias, in addition to free meal passes for family members who come to visit them while hospitalized at those facilities.

Riffee added that although people join h2u for different reasons, the exercise program is a particularly popular reason. Plus, the annual membership fee is only $15.

Walk-ins are welcome at Trident HealthFinders (now located
