Gulf Coast Hospice
Our mission is to provide our patients and their loved ones with a level of care and comfort
About Us
Gulf Coast Hospice of Houston is locally owned and operated by caring healthcare professionals dedicated to ensuring the utmost comfort to our patients and their families.

We provide hospice services in your home as well as in a personal care home or an assisted living or nursing facility. Hospital care and respite care for family care-givers can also be provided (based on federal and state regulation). Our experienced staff can discuss the criteria for these specific areas of care.
Our goal is to provide our patients and their loved ones with a level of care and comfort that is both comprehensive and compassionate. We work with the entire family to meet the physical, social, psychological and spiritual needs unique to this stage of life.
We will conduct, at no charge, an assessment of patient eligibility for hospice care seven days a week and on all holidays. We will always be available to answer your questions and provide counsel.
Gulf Coast Hospice will not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion or need.
Care & Services
Gulf Coast Hospice provides a coordinated team of professionals, assisted by volunteers, that works to meet the emotional and spiritual needs of our patients and families, as well as the physical needs of our patients. Staff members are available at all times, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our care giving team includes:

Physician care: Our Medical Directors work with your personal physician to build a comprehensive team of medical professionals who specialize in controlling pain and other symptoms of serious illness. Working together, our team develops a plan of care that is right for each patient's individual situation and needs.
Nursing care: Our nurses are experts at managing the needs of each patient and can serve as a valuable resource in educating family members on how to assist in caring for their loved one. Our specially trained and experienced nurses develop and manage a customized plan of care for each patient.
Chaplain Care: These individuals work to help patients and families cope with spiritual questions and concerns, either directly or by coordinating services with the patient’s and family's spiritual counselors.
Bereavement Coordinators: Gulf Coast Hospice has personnel available to help patients and families deal with grief through each phase of the process including a funeral negotiator. Services extend to the family for 13 months after the death of a hospice patient.
Social Worker Advocacy: Our team of social workers coordinates community resources and helps the patient and family with non-medical concerns. The social workers provide comfort and give support to family members, plan for the future, assist with making financial arrangements and ease other emotional difficulties.
