Griswold Special Care is dedicated to maintaining the dignity, comfort, safety, independence, well-being, and happiness of each client by referring the highest quality professional caregivers at a reasonable cost. We are a home-care company that refers caregivers who provide personal care, companionship, and homemaking in the comfort of home. We also provide personalized care in a facility setting.

Our services are non-medical because we specialize in cases that do not require skilled nursing. Special Care caregivers are paid competitively so we can attract the best in the community, yet overhead is kept to a minimum so we can be the wisest financial alternative for our clients and their families.

Skilled Caregivers

Special Care caregivers have a passion for caring, plus the skills and commitment to help clients remain independent and at home. Many have experience with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, arthritis, stroke, cancer, multiple sclerosis, ALS, and more.

Special Care caregivers help people by doing the kinds of things that families usually do for each other.

A typical day may include some of the following tasks:

• Personal care, homemaking, and companionship services
• Cooking and meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Shopping and errands
• Assistance with self-administered medications
• Transportation to appointment

Special Care stands apart from its competitors through its commitment to provide the highest-quality service to people who are older, post-hospitalization, disabled, alone, or at-risk – and at the lowest possible cost. Special Care-referred caregivers are as important to us as our clients. Caregivers receive most of the fee we charge. Caregivers are paid competitively because we want to attract the best in the community. There is no extra charge for weekend or evening coverage.
