It’s important to remember that hospice is not a place, it’s a medical and philosophical approach to care. Our hospice team provides medical, emotional, practical and spiritual support to individuals with terminal illnesses and their families.
Hospice care is most often given to individuals in the final stages of cancer, emphysema, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, dementia, ALS, heart disease, HIV/AIDS, and neuromuscular, kidney and liver disease. Our hospice care teams are comprised of:

Nurses who help manage physical symptoms and communicate information to the physician

Social workers who help residents and families understand the emotional journey

Spiritual coordinators who assist residents in meeting their spiritual end-of-life needs

Volunteers who give their time in order to provide one-on-one attention to residents

Bereavement coordinators who help families prepare for their loved one’s passing and who remain in touch for months afterwards.
