In May of 1990 four gentlemen, from Georgia and South Carolina formed a company that offered medical supplies and professional long-term care services. They talked extensively to health industry owners, nursing facility personnel and many others involved in healthcare researching what makes an outstanding supply and service company. With the intent of offering the best in products, services and support options – Federal Medical Supply, Inc. (FMS) was formed.

The FMS business plan is to stay on a ‘partner / relationship’ oriented level and to consistently apply trusted business procedures: “To sell a quality product, priced competitive and get it to the customer in a timely, efficient manner day after day. To always take in account what changes, wants, and needs, the customer expects and deliver for those needs”.

In 1994 FMS was corporately restructured to expand the products and services being offered. Through hard work and FMS’s focused leadership the company grew from sales of approximately sixty thousand dollars in 1990, to become one of the largest medical distributors in the southeast. All the while believing and practicing the same simple ideas and solid business practices of a local business operation: “Take Care of the Customer, make them happy.”
