Excellent Care Management
Our vision is to provide quality care to this segment of our society.
History
Excel-E-Care was born out of a deep loving concern of Deavra Daughtry for the care of the elderly and disable. It was her vision to provide quality care to this segment of our society. After working in the field of social services for seven years, she decided to open her own business. In June 1997 she was licensed to operate a Primary Home Care business. The organization actually began operation as a sole proprietor in January 1999. During the period 1997 to 1999, Ms. Daughtry enhanced her skills and knowledge by working as a patient care coordinator. She also volunteered her services by providing care to the elderly and disabled.
In January 1999, the doors of Excel-E-Care officially opened. Ms. Daughtry was the only employee. She fulfilled the responsibility of administrator/attendant until, April of 1999 at which time she employed her first employee. In May 1999, the second employee was hired. By the end of 1999 there were three administrative personnel and forty attendants. During 1999, the client base grew from two to thirty clients. Our present administrative staff consists of two directors, three case coordinators, registered nurses, and seven field supervisors. There are currently over five hundred attendants who provide personal home care. We currently operate in thirty counties in and out of the Greater Houston Area. Plans are to extend our services to include additional counties. Excel-E-Care started in an office at 4615 North Freeway that contained 548 square feet of space. By the end of 2000, we had expanded twice and occupied 1,280 square feet of space. Now Excel-E-Care owns and occupies over 4500 square feet including a 65 feet advertisement sign. Excel-E-Care will expand its services to Adult Daycare and Elderly Transportation.
The reason Excel-E-Care has been so successful during its years of operation is credited to the dedication and hard work of its owner and staff. The philosophy of management and staff has been and continues to be that the client deserves the very best service that can be offered. Client service is above owner's profit.
The mission of Excel-E-Care is to enhance the quality of life elderly and disabled by providing quality care and necessary transportation to those whose health problems cause them to be functionally limited in performing activities of daily living.
