Encore's schedules are flexible, to accommodate the Client’s or family’s needs. We maintain an on-call staff around the clock, every day of the year, to address scheduling, health, and safety issues. Encore strives to “Earn Your Applause Everyday.”

Encore Caregivers is Licensed

As a Home and Community Support Services Agency, Encore must comply with the standards, regulations, and periodic review mandated by Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services.

Dependable, honest, and trustworthy

Our pre-employment process for hiring Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), or supervisory and support staff meets or exceeds the State mandated requirements. Encore retains an outside investigation firm to verify social security number, employment history, driving record, and absence of criminal history. Although not required by the State, Encore drug screens employees before hiring.

Bonded and insured

As the employer, Encore Caregivers insures its caregivers for work-related injuries. Encore’s Clients do not have any employer obligations or responsibilities. Because Encore has stringent hiring practices, including background and criminal investigation, Encore is able to obtain a fidelity bond for its employees.

Experienced, knowledgeable, and empathetic

Encore’s caregivers have big hearts. This personality trait is fundamental to achieving Client and Caregiver satisfaction. Verifiable on-the-job experience and successful completion of a skills examination is necessary before an employment offer is made.

Management monitors caregiver activities

Encore’s goal is to exceed our client’s expectations. Caregivers provide management with weekly updates as to Client status and suggested changes. Management conducts periodic site visits to assure Client satisfaction. Of course, management is always available to address issues presented by the Client or family. Encore conducts mandatory periodic training for its caregivers in subjects relevant to their job function.

Proper Matching of Client and Caregiver

Our professional management and caregiver staff understand this simple concept: People are different. When personnel changes are necessary to optimize the chemistry between Client and Caregiver, every effort is made to achieve a smooth transition.

Minimum Personnel Rotation

Encore understands that both Clients and Caregivers appreciate stability and consistency in staffing schedules. If a client or caregiver emergency occurs, management reacts quickly to resolve the issue.

Our Services

Grooming and Dressing

Confidence and well being are enhanced when Clients know that their outward appearance meets their personal standards. Encore’s caregivers are serious about ensuring that clients look and feel their best.

Oral hygiene

Providing regular dental care, including any dental apparatus, improves client health, confidence, and comfort.

Bathing and showering

Our caregivers assist or perform this important function while respecting the Client’s dignity and privacy. Safety precautions are an important part of this activity to prevent shower or tub related accidents.

Toileting and/or incontinence care

Incontinence can be a source of embarrassment for clients. Often, simple reminders are adequate to maintain client continence. Encore caregivers observe the highest degree of professionalism, and as such, perform personal hygiene care discretely and as often as needed to maintain optimum skin integrity and freshness at all times.

Ambulation and Transfer

Encore’s caregivers have demonstrated proficiency in transferring the client from bed, chair, or wheelchair in a gentle and competent manner and attend regular in-service training to refine and reinforce their techniques in providing quality personal care.

Medication Reminders

Serious complications can arise if clients do not take their medications as prescribed, and on a timely basis. Encore Caregivers can assist and remind clients to take their medications which are self-administered.

Transportation

Encore Caregivers can arrange, accompany, and/or provide transportation to or from doctor appointments, barber or beauty shop appointments, shopping outings, or amusement venues. Safety and security is a primary focus for the caregiver during these activities.

Alzheimer’s/Dementia/Stroke Special Needs

Encore’s caregivers are trained to provide care for clients having special needs. Diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke-related dementia, and brain injuries present special challenges for these clients. Recognizing these special needs and providing the proper caregiver match is Encore’s forte.
