About Us

This is a major decision, no doubt. As the owners and managers of Copperfield Hill, our reasons are as follows:

• As owners and managers, we are onsite daily and oversee all aspects of life in the Copperfield Hill community.
• We believe that the dignity of our residents, regardless of their state in life, can best be maintained by:

1. Having a life of purpose.
2. Believing they’re important.
3. Believing they’re needed by others and have something to contribute.
4. Being motivated to get up in the morning – “I have things to do!”

• We believe that our residents thrive on new challenges which include:

1. Volunteering and helping others.
2. Participating in new activities they find interesting and challenging. They have faced challenges all of their lives and don’t want to stop now.

• We have a real wellness program that accommodates the various ability levels of our residents to strengthen their minds and bodies. A sense of physical well-being contributes to the vitality of our neighborhood.
• Copperfield Hill is well known for its Men’s Programs.

1. While the industry relies heavily on demographics, i.e. many women and few men, we have a Men’s Club which meets regularly.
2. We have several other programs (both for individuals and groups) which are particularly appealing to men’s interests.

• Transportation is provided to nearly everything at little to no cost in our accessible van. The van is on the move 7 days a week.
• Nurses are on duty 7 days a week.

1. A registered nurse is the CEO of our entire care program.
2. A registered nurse is the Director of Nursing Services.
3. An additional RN as well as several LPNs aid in the supervision of our skilled, trained CNAs.

• Resident ownership

1. Because the owners are onsite, decisions and reactions are quick and firm.
2. The residents of Copperfield Hill as well as their families and loved ones are listened to and their suggestions, complaints and other comments are acted on.
3. Copperfield’s policies are resident-centered and provide ‘the say’ in the residents’ life that would only occur in an ownership community (co-op or condominium). These benefits of ownership are achieved without a financial or time commitment commonly associated with ownership.

• Most importantly, we value the independence of our residents. Our commitment to our residents to keep them independent provides the foundation for all we do. Most Americans value independence above all. We are convinced this does not diminish with age.

Because of our quarter century of experience, we know many things count in your decision. The perception of one’s surroundings set the stage for the expectation of good things from their neighborhood, its caretakers and caregivers.

Living Options

Independent Living

Our residents enjoy an independent lifestyle by choosing a one or two bedroom apartment which features a full kitchen and plenty of storage. Residents may add any or all of our Ala Carte services such as meals,  housekeeping and laundry or remain totally self-sufficient. If residents bring their car, underground heated parking is also available.

Our beautiful sunlit 4-story atrium and unique spaces for socializing make our residents’ new home even more enjoyable.

Copperfield Hill is located in the heart of Robbinsdale, just a block from the charming downtown area and the walking paths of Crystal Lake.

Assisted Living

Copperfield Hill not only provides our assisted living residents with a beautiful and comfortable place to live, but also the daily care and assistance they require. Copperfield Hill creates a Personalized Service Plan for all of our Assisted Living residents, assuring that the highest quality of services and support is provided. Fees are based on each resident’s individual needs as determined by a comprehensive assessment and orders from their doctor. This permits our residents to maintain their independence and dignity and allows for freedom of choice.

Memory Care

Copperfield Hill strives to meet our residents’  needs at every stage in their life, including our residents who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Our Memory Care program combines our homelike, family atmosphere with specialized care and unique programming designed specifically for each resident’s individual requirements.

Our smaller neighborhood environment provides a safe and secure setting, promoting one-on-one connections between staff and residents. This individual attention benefits our residents by supporting strengths and interests, maintaining our residents’ dignity and helping to overcome challenges. We encourage daily opportunities for success in order to enhance the quality of our residents’ lives.

Your life at Copperfield Hill starts with sharing your life story.  We believe that person-centered care is the best care available.  This includes all care provided from meals that are served, housekeeping, activities offered and actual physical care.  In order for us to provide the best person-centered care, we need to know about you and your life’s journey.  We have created a program that helps us learn about your loved one.  “Joining My Journey …” allows us to step into your loved one’s journey both before and during the dementia process.  Our goal is to learn background information on your loved one so we understand their interests and personal and family history.  The more information you are able to share with us, the more we adapt, and learn to interact with and approach your loved one.

• Weekly individual laundry and linen service with pick up and delivery
• 24-hour staffing to monitor personal security
• Multiple personal wellness check of each resident
• On-site activity director
• Transportation for numerous activities and outings
• Seven structured activities daily consisting of physical , cognitive, spirtual, social and sensory stimulation
• Religious services (non-denominational)
• Individualized care plan created by the RN and a full time Memory Care Nurse specifically designated to monitor each resident’s care
• Utilities included: heat, water, garbage, electric
• Hourly Wellness Checks

Prior to move in, each resident will receive an assessment by a registered nurse. Care plans are dependent upon the resident’s level of assistance required with the activities of daily living. Family participation is recommended during assessment.
