Caring for a person with Alzheimer's disease or other Dementia related diseases at home is a challenging task that can become overwhelming at times. Each day brings new demands and opportunities as the caregiver copes with changing levels of ability and new patterns of behavior.
ComForcare continually provides in services to keep our caregivers current with the changing information and techniques for Dementia related issue.
Our caregivers are fully trained to cope with any level of Dementia and can assist family members to ensure safety and security with their loved one in their own home. With Dementia, the familiar surroundings of home help decrease confusion, disorientation and agitation.
Hospice services are paid by Medicare but they are limited in scope and primarily skilled in nature and only there for two hours 2 to 3 times a week.
More than just pain management and medical care, hospice care provides the spiritual and emotional support that helps both patients and their families during a most vulnerable time in life. Most people nearing the end of life want to remain in the comfort of their own home, wherever home may be. They don't want to spend their last days in a hospital and ComForcare can make this possible. Hospice care helps with basic skilled care for several hours 2-3 days a week and ComForcare works with hospice to provided the continuity of care for several hours or throughout the day and night as needs dictate.
