We know that each resident is an individual with unique needs and preferences. That’s why we meet with each resident and family to conduct an assessment - prior to move-in and at regular intervals after move-in - to understand the need for assistance and support in the following areas:

• Dressing and clothes selection
• Medication management
• Continence management
• Showering or bathing
• Mobility and transferring
• Safety monitoring
• Meals prepared for a resident’s particular dietary needs

Location, Location, Location…

The wooded surroundings of Chardon Place offer our residents a serene setting for family visits and socializing. This quiet and peaceful landscape is enhanced by the comfortable, homelike interiors. Each spacious resident room combines Low Country charm, including hardwood floors and soft lighting, with such amenities as an emergency call system, satellite hookup, and private bathroom. The rooms are either fully furnished or may accommodate the residents’ own furnishings.

Chardon Place is also a short drive from the islands of Kiawah and Seabrook, offering our residents and their families access to tennis, swimming, world-class golf courses, and the dining and shopping experiences of Freshfields Village and Bohicket Marina. The islands also offer a host of cultural opportunities, including art walks and wine tastings, holiday celebrations, and a spring concert series, all of which make for wonderful group trips or family outings.

At Chardon Place, our “Open Door” policy means that if residents or their family members ever feel like something could or should be done differently, they will have quick and easy access to meet with both the owner and the executive staff.

Chardon Place residents and their families receive the following services:

• Weekly housekeeping and daily trash removal
• Scheduled transportation for physicians visits, activities,and shopping within a 20-mile radius of the facility
• Monthly wellness visits by a licensed nurse

• All utilities except telephone
