Augsburg Lutheran Home & Village
At Augsburg, our services include independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation.
Augsburg Lutheran Home and Village, an accredited Continuing Care Retirement Community in Baltimore County, Maryland, is distinguished by a number of factors which make it an excellent choice for many seniors.
Augsburg boasts a smaller, family-like atmosphere…has the advantage of 117 years of experience…is dedicated to remaining affordable…offers a long list of amenities …and values the faith-based commitment to care that is our foundation.
The typical candidate for Assisted Living is someone who is no longer totally independent and requires some assistance with basic tasks, but does not need nursing care. Augsburg’s program serves three different levels of need: those requiring only occasional assistance, those needing more substantial support, and those needing support in almost every area of daily life. At every level, residents receive three meals daily; laundry, linen, and housekeeping services; a recreation-activity program; the use of a library, a game parlor, kitchenettes, and other common areas, all of which are provided within a charming, safe, secure environment. Private rooms with private baths as well as rooms with shared bathing accommodations are available. Our staff carefully assesses a resident's abilities and desires to ensure the right combination of assistance and independence.
Augsburg Lutheran Village offers an ideal environment for individuals and couples to experience life to its fullest. Apartment home living allows you to enjoy the comforts, privacy, and independence of your own home without the hassles of home ownership.
Select from our comfortable studios, one-, and two-bedroom apartments with a variety of floor plans and styles. Each apartment home has a fully-equipped kitchen, wall-to-wall carpeting, window treatments, ample closet space, and individually-controlled heating and air conditioning. Select either a patio or balcony, at no additional cost, to enlarge your living space and to enjoy Augsburg's 52-acre campus. Luther Garden apartments include patios, electric heat, bathtubs with showers, and outside storage. Reformation Square apartments include either patios (first floor) or balconies (second or third floor), are gas heated and have tub and/or walk-in showers. Storage lockers for each unit are located inside nearby. The eight Luther Garden apartment buildings and the three Reformation Square apartment buildings are accessible to each other through connected hallways.
The Town Center includes an informal café, beauty/barber shop, exercise room, wellness suite, physical therapy, and convenience store, which are easily accessible from all apartments. A formal dining room, comfortable lounges, library, game room, computer room, and community room are connected by interior hallways, providing easy access to all locations within the community.
An important component of life at Augsburg is our focus on your individuality and spirituality. We believe that your spiritual health is just as important as your physical health, and we are committed to providing spiritual services and guidance to residents and staff alike. A chaplain is on staff full time to oversee the spiritual life of all of our residents.
Worship Services are offered every Sunday in Augsburg’s Chapel. Services are also offered on special religious holidays, and during Lent and Advent. Bible study classes are available for all residents on a weekly basis. A Grief Group and other groups meet regularly under the guidance of the chaplain.
The chaplain will visit you in your room or apartment when you arrive at Augsburg to discuss your personal spiritual needs. You and your family can also request the service of the chaplain for private counseling.
