Skilled Nursing

Asher's Skilled Nurses also see patients at home for a variety of medical conditions. Our experienced nurses provide education about your illness, and implement a comprehensive, individualized plan of care in conjunction with your physician.

• Wound care/Dressing changes
• Cancer/Pain Management
• High blood pressure
• Respiratory problems
• Colostomy care
• Catheter care
• IV therapy
• Terminal illness
• Following a hospital stay
• Recovering from surgery
• For an illness or injury that does not require hospitalization
• To care for an elderly family member
• While recovering from accidents, strokes and heart attacks
• To teach on a new diagnosis such as the disease process, diet, exercise program, medication management.

Specialized nursing programs such as cardiac, diabetes, pain management, wound care, infusion therapy, oncology, and post surgery care also available. All home health care staff are routinely supervised by our director of nursing and assigned to patients according to the medical situation and patient preference.

Home Health Aide

The close observation and teaching on preventive care that the patient and family receives, lowers the chance that the patient will return to the hospital for the same illness, misuse the medications, and prevent the complications of healing wounds.

Our home health aides provide personal care services including:

• Bathing
• Grooming
• Meal preparation

• Oral hygiene
• Skin and/or nail care (not cut)
• Toileting
